MHT - CET

MHT-CET is the entrance exam conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra to admit students in the domains of Engineering.

The MH-CET exam is conducted typically in the month of mid-May after XII Boards examination. Engineering aspirants have to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. The distribution of questions, marks and duration is as under :

Paper – 1 : Physics & Chemistry : 100 questions – 100 marks.

Paper – 2 : Mathematics : 50 questions – 100 marks.

There is no negative marking in MHT-CET. The MHT-CET is therefore out of 200 marks.

From 2018 onwards, the syllabus for MHT-CET has been a combination of select chapters of Std.11 and all chapters of Std.12 from HSC syllabus.

A score of 125 marks is sufficient to secure an A-grade Engineering college in Maharashtra for an OPEN category student. A score of 150+ marks is sufficient to secure the Top 5 colleges in Pune / Mumbai / Nagpur cities in the branch of choice.
